BSNL Broadband has finally joined the high-speed-data bandwagon with its newly launched Unlimited Calls and Data plans to start at Rs. 555. The state-owned telecom operator is set for a revival campaign with its recent MTNL-merger acquisition, after its prolonged financial crisis.
The telecom company has rolled out some attractive offers on its mobile and desktop platforms to match its rivals, including Reliance Jio, Airtel and ACT broadband services. BSNL is now offering its subscribers a 6-paise credit for every voice call spanning over 5 minutes of usage.
BSNL’s high-speed broadband data plans now offer a 100% waiver on daily limits as it enables users to access unlimited data with the Fibro 100GB and Superstar 300GB plans.
The Fibro Plan (aka Month CS106) offers 100GB data a month with up to 20Mbps speeds and the speed throttles down to 1Mbps once the bandwidth is exhausted.
In contrast, the Superstar Plan (aka Rs. 749 plan) offers 300GB of data a month with up to 50Mbps speeds. Once FUP is reached, the speed reduces to 2Mbps. This plan also features unlimited free calling service to any network, besides offering the Amazon Prime membership as a bonus.
Furthermore, the users can enjoy unlimited calling to the BSNL network, besides free calling to other networks in the night from 10:30 pm to 6:00 am.
BSNL has received a new lease of life after the government’s approval of the MTNL merger and the fresh 4G spectrum allocation for supporting high-speed data services.
MTNL users are now eligible for free calls from BSNL in Mumbai and Delhi circles on all the three subscription plans – Rs. 429, Rs. 485 and Rs. 666.
The Rs. 429 plan enables users to enjoy free voice call benefits alongside 1GB data per day for 81 days. The Rs. 485 plan also offers free voice calls, besides 1.5GB of data per day for 90 days.
Finally, Rs. 666 plan offers all the benefits of the Rs. 485 plan along with a longer validity of 122 days.
