Ikea begins online delivery in Mumbai

Amritsar, NFAPost: Mumbai becomes the first Indian city where Swedish furniture giant Ikea has started online order services. Hyberabad was the only city that had access to Ikea products in the country through its offline store that was launched last year.

The online purchase services started today in the city and deliveries will cover the greater Mumbai region that includes Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane.

Ikea would cater its online customers in Mumbai region through its distribution centre in Pune and has partnered with UrbanClap for assembling and installation of furnitures.

Apart from the online service, Ikea has plans to set up smaller outlets and pickup centres across Mumbai. A big format store is under construction in Thurbe region of Navi Mumbai since 2017, and is expected to be open later this year.

Ikea has already acquired land sites in Gurugram and Bengaluru and is looking to expand to as many cities as possible through different selling channels.
