Amritsar, NFAPost: Bengaluru-based technology giant Wipro Ltd has entered into a strategic partnership with Germany-based Industrie 4.0 Maturity Center GmbH (I4.0MC), the company said in a release today.

The partnership will enable manufacturing companies to implement end-to-end enterprise digital transformation in a structured manner, the company said.

I4.0MC is a part of RWTH Aachen Campus in Germany, and has an expertise in manufacturing domain and industrial processes. 

The company uses Acatech Industrie 4.0 Maturity Index that aid manufacturing companies examine on what stage of the Industrie 4.0 programs they stand at, the statement said adding that this evaluation helps the manufacturing companies organise digitisation activities across the firm.

Wipro has been on the forefront in Industrial Automation and Shop Floor technologies with its expertise of over 20 years and has been one of the leading Industry 4.0 implementation partner for organisations across the globe, in the recent years.

“Subsequently, we can roll out and implement vertical industry solutions and platforms that harness the power of machine learning and advanced analytics, unlocking new business models and revenue streams,” said Harmeet Chauhan, senior vice president and global head of industrial and engineering services at Wipro.

This partnership aims to serve its customers with tailor-made transformation projects that will enable the firms to become a data-driven, agile company. In this partnership, I4.0MC will be providing the management frameworks and tools, while Wipro will be catering the digital transformation, the company said.

“Manufacturing organizations today have a disordered landscape of isolated POCs and prototypes that do not create any benefit to the business. Through our partnership we will help these companies define and implement the right measures to apply technology effectively,” an official from I4.0MC was quoted in the statement.
